Honey Garlic Glazed Baked Chicken Recipe

Juicy baked chicken breast with a golden-brown crust, garnished with fresh herbs and a delicious honey garlic glaze.

Ingredients:

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp butter (for extra juiciness)

For the Honey Garlic Glaze:

  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (or apple cider vinegar)
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a slight kick)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven – Set oven to 425°F (220°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Pound and Season Chicken – Pound chicken to even thickness. Pat dry, rub with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and oregano.
  3. Bake – Place in the baking dish and bake for 15 minutes.
  4. Prepare Glaze – While chicken bakes, heat a small pan over medium heat. Add butter, then garlic, and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Glaze and Finish Baking – Remove chicken from the oven, brush generously with the honey garlic glaze, and return to the oven for 5-7 more minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Rest & Serve – Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve with rice, roasted veggies, or a fresh salad.
