2021 is the year we have all been waiting for. It is the year in which Covid-19 will be a thing of the past (hopefully). It is also the year when traveling, gatherings, and fun will presumably resume. 2021 is also the year for new beauty trends. This year, beginning in early Spring, we are expected to see some new beauty trends of 2021.
The newest beauty trends of 2021 will encompass many different and exciting looks as well as risks. You will see new makeup looks, hairstyles, and daring fashion. You will even see some throwback looks to previous decades. While some of you may still be sitting in your pajamas working over zoom with fashion being the last thing on your mind. We are hopeful that these newest beauty trends of 2021 will inspire and bring back some glamour into all of our lives (boy do we need it)!

This beauty trend of 2021 focuses on natural skin. “Skinimalism” is the term coined by Pinterest to describe this beauty trend. The trend focuses on the “no-makeup-makeup look.” With so many of us working from home and not applying makeup; this look is the ultimate natural glow up. It requires having consistent skincare and really taking care of your skin. With a good base, you can slab on some serums, oils, or a mist to achieve that natural skin glow.
Durable Lipsticks
Another upcoming beauty trend of 2021 is lipstick- especially liquid lipsticks and stains. While we are expecting that people will continue wearing face masks for the majority of the year; this means that lipstick choice will continue to be important. Most people will be looking for lipsticks that are long-lasting, smudge-proof, and will not leave stains on their masks. In addition, many experts say the color of the lipstick will not be as important as compared to the durability of the product.
Bangs
If you are thinking of getting bangs but unsure of whether or not it is for you, you are in luck! Bangs- specifically curtain bangs are making a comeback. This beauty trend of 2021 is making a serious reappearance. Many celebrities such as Gigi Hadid and Jennifer Lopez can be seen rocking the look. The way to style this is to create more texture and to go a little shorter with the length. Framing the bangs around your face is also a choice for those who may not want their hair directly in their eyes.

Working and learning from home was an adjustment for everyone. While it had many challenges, it did allow time for playing around with hairstyles. 2020 was the year of the messy bun, ponytail, and uncombed bed hair. DIY was the name of the game, many also opted for press-on nails with colorful and intricate designs.
