Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken

This rich and flavorful dish features tender chicken breasts smothered in a creamy garlic Parmesan sauce. It’s perfect for serving over pasta, rice, or with roasted vegetables.
Ingredients
For the Chicken:
- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut in half lengthwise)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Sauce:
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken:
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/75°C). Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the Sauce:
- Reduce heat to medium, add butter to the same skillet, and let it melt.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using).
- Simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Combine & Serve:
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and spoon the creamy sauce over the top.
- Simmer for another 2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.
